At the end of every term, LCI holds an exciting fair. This event, put on by our higher-level students, is a favorite for everyone. It brings our community together in a fun and educational way. Each term, the theme of the fair changes, from art to business to science. This term, our theme was countries of the world.
Countries of the World
This term, each group of higher-level students picked a country to study. They learned about the country’s history, culture, food, famous places, and geography. The students then made detailed posters with pictures and text to help explain what they learned. This way, lower-level students could easily follow along.
Working Together
The students worked hard to prepare for the fair. They made colorful posters and included something interactive, like food tastings, games, dances, or virtual tours. These activities helped bring their countries to life and made the fair more fun.
To make the fair more engaging, lower-level students received passports. As they visited each country’s booth, they took notes and got their passports stamped. This made the fair more interactive and encouraged everyone to listen and participate. At the end of the fair, students could show their stamped passports to their teachers to share what they had learned.
The fair is always a great time. The school is full of excitement as students and teachers visit different booths, learn about new cultures, and see the hard work that went into each presentation. The atmosphere is one of friendship and curiosity, with students eager to share their knowledge and experiences.
The International Fair is more than just an event. It celebrates our school’s values. It brings people together, helps students learn from each other, and gives everyone a chance to practice English in a real and fun way.
We look forward to many more fairs, each one a new chance to learn, connect, and celebrate the diversity that unites us.
